SiamMandalay and Aware Chiang Mai staff prepared for Songkran this year with the installation of a new spirit house. The Buddhist ceremony began with the traditional giving of alms and included nine monks who chanted, offering their prayers and blessings. Everyone made merit by making donations, and we watered Buddha statue to welcome the coming New Year. It was a traditional ceremony conducted with the utmost respect.
