Baan Nong Tao, A.Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai
Aware and SiamMandalay staff traveled to Baan Nong Tao Learning Center in A. Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai for our 2009 Cold Season Charity Day event. Baan Nong Tao is a Lahu hill-tribe village located on a mountain ridge, accessed by a long, winding mountain road. It takes approximately 3.5 hours to get there from Chiang Mai city. There are about 300 people living in this village; all with very little. We donated clothing, blankets, sports equipment, stationery and school supplies. The kids were also treated to a tasty lunch with the Aware and SiamMandalay staff. We would like to thank all those who helped to make this Charity Day event happen. Special thanks goes out to our friends at Infinity Global Packaging in the USA. Their generous donation was put to very good use in helping the people of Baan Nong Tao.
